Lindy Hop is the main event of swing dances, born in the cultural melting pot of New York’s Harlem and evolving from it’s late 1920’s birth to populate the planet. Embracing Charleston and Black Bottom as well as influences from Ballroom, Tap and popular ‘animal dances’, the Lindy Hop is a fun, free, flexible way to let yourself go to swinging music from the last 100 years.

Level 1 Beginners Class from 7.00 to 8.00.
Book a start date: 4-week courses for just £20.
Level 2 Class from 8.00 for when you have completed at least one beginners course and want to be stretched further. Pay-as-you-go each week includes both Level 1 and Level 2 classes for just £8.

Located just off M4 junction 11 at the heart of the village, right between the church and the Ferriers Arms at the brow of the hill, corner of Clares Green Rd. Car park at the front plus opposite and in Clares Green Rd.
Spencers Wood is on the southern edge of Reading near Shinfield, 2 to 3 minutes from M4 junction 11 via Three Mile Cross and 5 miles east from Burghfield. The Village Hall is on Basingstoke Road as you crest the brow of the hill, with a church on one side a pub on the other. There is plenty of parking on the grounds and in the street. The hall is a substantial, superbly well maintained building dating from 1911 giving a lovely setting for classes. With a sprung wooden floor and great facilities it is ideal for these dance classes.

The venue is just over 10 minutes drive from central Reading and Burghfield, about 18 minutes from Wokingham and Bracknell, 25 minutes from central Basingstoke and Newbury and 35 minutes from Farnborough, Camberley and Didcot. It's a great venue for Berkshire, North Hampshire and South Oxfordshire.
